The corporate regulator has cancelled the Australian Financial Services licence of Velos Global Markets Pty Ltd (ACN 604 251 416), determining the firm had stopped operating a financial services business.
The cancellation took effect on 23 September 2025. ASIC said it exercised its powers under section 915B(3) of the Corporations Act 2001 after becoming aware Velos had ceased to engage in financial services, and found the business had not been carried on since around May 2024.
Velos held AFS licence number 500701 from 13 November 2017. The company retains a right to seek a merits review of the decision in the Administrative Review Tribunal.
An AFS licence authorises a business to provide financial services in Australia, including advising on and dealing in financial products. Cancellation means the licensee is no longer permitted to provide such services.
